Design for Testability (DFT)
We perform a thorough Design For Testability analysis to help customers improve their designs, allowing more leverage for future testability.
Why outsource test
Test can be done by both contract manufacturers and independent outfits such as Circuit Plus Inc. We believe that test conducted by a third party will give you the following.
- Removes the substantial capital investment required of the OEM or contract manufacturer
- Removes the expert engineering and labour costs (wages, training and so on) of planning, programming and conducting tests
- Provides unbiased, value-added insight for process enhancement and adjustment, which reduces rework
- Provides immediately available expertise to choose the most effective and most economical test strategy at no cost
- Provides the OEM or contract manufacturer with an additional source of quality control
- Brings expertise and flexibility in meeting development cycles
- Applies an open-architecture philosophy, from standard to completely custom solutions
- Brings expertise with most major software platforms, test executives and languages
- Brings expertise in test system creation, including tester and line validation and set-up of test systems
Process
How we handle your test job
- 01
Quotation within 5 business days
After we receive your RFQ package, you get our suggestions for the most appropriate test strategy, a detailed scope of the job and detailed pricing.
- 02
Kick-off
When you accept the quotation and issue a PO, our engineering team assigns a project supervisor, orders any outsourced requirements, prepares and validates the test programs and issues a work order that spells out all requirements.
- 03
Receiving
Your project supervisor tells you the expected delivery date, then receives, inspects, identifies and labels all material, including the assemblies to be tested.
- 04
Execution
The supervisor schedules the job and makes sure it is done according to the work order at every stage, with delivery on time.
- 05
Reporting
You receive daily, weekly and monthly failure and troubleshooting reports, and every issue is communicated to you.
- 06
Traceability
Every stage of the work is documented to ensure traceability.
